Tyrolean mountains
Take advantage of the varied summer activity programme with its guided tours to discover the Innsbruck region. Whether it's a leisurely hike for beginners, a sporty e-bike tour or mountain adventures for the whole family - with the Welcome Card, participation is free for you.
Karwendel hiking area
The Karwendel is the largest protected area in Tyrol and one of the most impressive natural landscapes in the country, reaching as far as the city of Innsbruck. The numerous huts and mountain pastures, such as the Höttinger Alm, the Rumer Alm and the Thaurer Alm, are easy to reach for hikers and mountain bikers.
Patscherkofel hiking area
The Patscherkofel-Zirmberg nature reserve is part of the Tux Pre-Alps and lies south of Innsbruck. The Patscherkofel and the mountain range continuing to the east offer fantastic views and invite you to hike along the Zirbenweg trail.
At 2,000 metres above sea level, you hike comfortably for around two and a half hours through centuries-old, closed Swiss stone pine stands and enjoy the magnificent panorama with a view of the Inn Valley. You can either start from Igls at the Patscherkofel mountain station after taking the Patscherkofel cable car or from Tulfes after taking the Glungezer chairlift.
Hike to the Rumer Alm
Directly from the Hotel Huberhof, you walk through the village up to the Karwendel nature reserve, where the Rumer Alm is located. After a good hour's hike through the Rumer forest area, you will reach the Rumer Alm, which serves delicious specialities. This tour is also ideal for families with children. The hiking trail can also be used for tobogganing in winter.
