Patscherkofel ski area

With its characteristic round summit, the Patscherkofel is Innsbruck's local and Olympic mountain. It was twice (1964 and 1976) the venue for the men's downhill at the Winter Olympics. The Patscherkofel is ideal for families and leisurely skiers, but also offers a snow park that makes freestylers' hearts beat faster.

Axamer Lizum ski area

The Olympic circus visited the Axamer Lizum twice (1964 and 1976) and that's easy to explain: today, as then, the snow conditions and mountain panorama are worthy of a medal. The Axamer Lizum is located in a high alpine winter landscape, which is one of the most snow-sure winter sports areas in Austria thanks to its altitude and additional snow-making facilities. Skiers, snowboarders, racers or pleasure skiers, freeriders or piste racers - there is something for everyone in the Axamer Lizum.

Tobogganing trip to the Rumer Alm

An alternative to skiing is a sleigh ride from the Rumer Alm. After a hike of approx. 1 hour through beautiful woodland in wonderful fresh air, you reach the Rumer Alm, which offers delicious food. Toboggans can be hired free of charge at the Alm, so you don't have to pull them on the ascent.

Ice skating in Rum

Rum also offers its guests an ice rink in the Römerpark, which can be easily reached on foot in 10 minutes from the hotel. Ice skates can be hired there and hot tea and coffee are available for refreshment.

Winter hiking

Fairytale snow-covered forests, clear winter air, sweeping views over the Tyrolean mountains - the magic of the cold season can only really be realised on a winter hike. The rays of the low sun break through the fir branches, freshly fallen snow muffles every sound, only the crunching under your shoes can be heard.

Experience winter far away from the busy ski slopes and bustling holiday resorts. Numerous beautiful routes, for example to the Rumer or Arzler Alm, are ideal for enjoying the dreamlike winter landscape.
